Burmese and Chin Church Translation for English Sermons

Sermon Translate can show an English sermon as Burmese, Hakha Chin or Mizo captions while the pastor preaches. All three are reading languages in the app, so a sermon preached in them cannot be captioned in English yet.

For Chin and Burmese families in English-speaking churches

Many Chin and Burmese believers worship in their own churches, and many others attend English-speaking congregations, especially the older generation who never learned English well. Captions in Hakha Chin, Mizo or Burmese let them read the whole sermon rather than catching a few words.

What works in each language today

Taken from the app's own language settings, so it matches what the app does now. Verse popups can show Bible text in English, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Farsi / Persian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

Honest about the limits

These languages are less common in translation engines than Spanish or Korean, so accuracy is lower, and there is no built-in church vocabulary for any of them. Ask a native reader to check the first services and add the words that come out wrong to the church glossary. Other Chin languages such as Falam, Tedim or Zomi are not supported.

Reading on a phone

Elders often prefer a phone held close to a projector across the room. With the QR Code Join add-on ($10 a month), anyone can scan a code and read the live captions in their browser without an account.

Can a Chin pastor preach in Hakha Chin with English captions?

Not yet. Hakha Chin, Mizo and Burmese are reading languages only; the app cannot listen to sermons preached in them.

Are Falam, Tedim or Zomi supported?

No. Of the Chin languages, only Hakha Chin and Mizo are supported today.

How accurate is it?

Less accurate than for widely used languages such as Spanish or Korean. Test with the free trial and a native reader before relying on it.
