What Sermon Translate does in Ukrainian
Ukrainian works in both directions: a preacher can speak Ukrainian into the app, and members can read the sermon in Ukrainian.
- The 66 Bible book names are built in for Ukrainian, taken from a published Ukrainian Bible, so a spoken book name comes out the way that Bible writes it. Other church vocabulary is general translation guided by church context, and your church glossary fixes the terms that matter to you.
- Verse popups cannot show the passage in Ukrainian yet, because the Bible editions connected today cover only English, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Farsi / Persian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
Ukrainian preaching for a mixed church
When a Ukrainian pastor or guest preacher speaks, choose Ukrainian as the speaker language and show English captions for the host congregation. Russian can be added as a second reading language for members who read Russian more easily.
Words that must stay the same
Add the names of host families, ministries and places, and any Ukrainian church terms your members prefer, to the church glossary. The app applies them to every translation, so a name never comes out three different ways in one sermon.

The 66 book names were taken from the Ohienko Ukrainian Bible, so a spoken book name comes out the way that Bible writes it.
Do Ukrainian families need to create an account?
Not to read the projector or livestream. To read on their own phones, each person needs an account after the free trial, unless the church adds QR Code Join ($10 a month), which lets anyone read by scanning a code.
Does it speak the translation aloud?
No. Sermon Translate shows text captions only; it does not produce spoken audio.
