Haitian Creole Church Translation for English and French Sermons

Sermon Translate can show an English or French sermon as Haitian Creole captions while the pastor preaches. Haitian Creole is a reading language in the app: members read it, but a sermon preached in Kreyòl cannot be heard by the app yet.

Kreyòl for the people who think in Kreyòl

Many Haitian believers read French, but Kreyòl is the language of home. When an English-speaking church welcomes Haitian families, or a Haitian church invites an English-speaking guest preacher, Kreyòl captions let everyone follow the message in the language they think in.

What works in each language today

Taken from the app's own language settings, so it matches what the app does now. Verse popups can show Bible text in English, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Farsi / Persian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

What it cannot do yet

The app cannot listen to a sermon preached in Haitian Creole, so a Kreyòl sermon cannot be translated into English with it today. If your preacher speaks French from the pulpit, French works in both directions.

Can our pastor preach in Haitian Creole and show English captions?

Not yet. Haitian Creole is a reading language only: the app can write captions in Kreyòl but cannot listen to Kreyòl preaching.

Can one service show Kreyòl and French at the same time?

Yes. The Subtitles screen shows up to 5 caption languages together. Each reading language uses plan time of its own: two reading languages during a one hour service use two hours of the plan.
